Canada is working on an electronic vaccine passport, allowing Canadians to travel abroad. It is expected that the electronic vaccine passport will be deployed in the next few months.<\/span><\/p>\n

To build an electronic record, Canada needs to agree on a common approach with the 10 provinces. And three northern territories that hold data on vaccination against COVID-19. Canada is also working with other countries to get vaccine passports recognized. This vaccine certification will include data on the vaccine type, date and location of each injection.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, Canada will roll out electronic vaccine passports, but will also issue paper copies to citizens in need.<\/span><\/p>\n

Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino said. “This is an important step forward, ensuring Canadians will have the necessary documents when traveling safely.”<\/span><\/p>\n
