The priority date for EB-5 visa interview for Vietnamese investors in August 2021<\/b><\/h4>\n

Currently, the EB-5 program to immigrate to the US through the Regional Center has expired on June 30, 2021, so the program is temporarily suspending visa issuance.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to multiple sources, it is likely that the Regional Center EB-5 program will continue to be approved and extended by the US Congress. Until then, the EB-5 Regional Center processing date will be updated in the Visa Bulletin.<\/span><\/p>\n

USCIS is still working hard to process I-526 and I-829 petitions despite the program’s expiration<\/b><\/h4>\n

Case processing data shows that USCIS<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is still working on processing I-526 petitions, despite the temporary delay in the EB-5 regional center program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Specifically, the data of the second quarter of 2021 on processing applications:<\/span><\/p>\n

Form I-526:<\/b><\/h4>\n

The number of new applications increased by 367% compared to last year, the approval rate reached 85%<\/span><\/p>\n

Processing time for I-526 petitions (without mainland China): 31- 49.5 months. About half of those were processed within 31 months. Most of the remaining applications are completed within 50 months.<\/span><\/p>\n

Form I-829:<\/b><\/h4>\n

Quarterly growth is 414%, the approval rate is 94%<\/span><\/p>\n

I-829 petition processing time: 35.5 \u2013 88 months. Specifically, 50% of EB-5 investors’ I-829 petitions are processed within 35.5 months and most are completed within 64 months.<\/span><\/p>\n

USCIS is currently actively issuing many priority policies on handling backlogs, reducing complicated claim procedures. Therefore, both these positive trends will continue in 2021 and 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
