Portugal is proud to be one of the ideal immigration destinations in Europe. But where is the worthiest living city in Portugal? This choice depends on the various needs of each investor. Portugal has some cities that never sleep, and peaceful towns with village church bells ringing every morning. Let’s take a look at some attractive cities with Portico & Bridge to choose the best place to live.

LISBON OF PORTUGAL

The Portuguese capital Lisbon is an impressive city with sunny yellow cable cars climbing its narrow streets, more than 60 museums. English-speaking theatres, friendly beaches, diverse cuisine, and many foreign visitors frequent each year.

Lisbon combines old-world charm with all the modern conveniences needed to feel at home with some of the best weather in Europe. You will never get bored living here with the beaches of Cascais. The fairy-tale village of Sintra, along with an international airport that makes it easy to travel to many parts of the world.

Healthcare in Portugal is one of the best globally with so many foreigners in Lisbon. So it’s easy to find English-speaking doctors.

PORTO

Porto is the second-largest city of Portugal, three hours north of Lisbon is Porto. Located on the Douro River, this is the famous wine-making region of this country.

Porto is rich in culture and history, where English is common, making it easy for newcomers to integrate. From the great shopping along Rua Santa Catarina to the local food court, excellent healthcare. Large foreigner community, and a cool climate, this could be the perfect place where you can see as your second home. In addition, Porto has one of Portugal’s three largest international airports, making it easy to visit your friends and family.

CALDAS DA RAINHA TOWN

Caldas da Rainha town is an hour north of Lisbon which has a lively old town, a daily vegetable and fish market, and a weekly flea market right on the hill. This compact city has a lot of shopping from large grocery stores, modern multi-level shopping malls, a variety of cuisines, and several museums. Dom Carlos Park is where locals and visitors come to take a stroll, dine at a restaurant, or paddle across the man-made lake. Caldas has a large foreign community along with public and private hospitals and clinics for all your healthcare needs.

The nearby beaches of Foz do Arelho and Nadadouro provide an attractive stay on a hot summer day. The lagoon here is a place where people of all ages enjoy the calm waters or relax with friends at a riverside cafe. Summer temperatures here are quite similar to spring, while winters are cold and rainy.

LAGOS TOWN OF PORTUGAL

The Algarve region with the warmest weather in the country is a few hours south of Lisbon. The town of Lagos retains much of its charm with a tiled square in the old town and the ruins of a fortress that line the waterfront. The coastline offers breathtaking views with numerous caves and rock formations, which can be explored by renting a boat.

Don’t worry about learning Portuguese in Lagos, British tourists have been coming to the Algarve for a long time so most people here speak English. Summers here are hot and dry while winters are mild with some rain. Local shops and restaurants are scattered throughout the old town, while larger grocery stores are located nearby. The health care service is excellent and there are many foreigners living here, you will not be alone.

TAVIRA

A handful of restaurants in Tavira line the cobbled streets alongside grocery stores. Life here is as slow as the river Gilão flows through. You can stroll along the Roman-era bridges to see the village or relax on the nearby sunny beaches.

Many foreigners from North America and Europe have come to live in Tavira. So you can easily integrate into a new life with your knowledge of English. Like the rest of the Algarve, Tavira has some of the warmest weather in the country. The local shops have a wide range of goods, but if you want, you can drive a few hours to Seville in Spain to shop for some goods from Asia.
