Getting Portuguese citizenship by investing in real estate

In order to attract foreign direct investment and new global citizens, the Portuguese government introduces the “Golden Visa” program (Portugal Golden Visa program) and officially applied in October 2012.

This is an investment program to apply for a residence card in Portugal exclusively for citizens outside the European Union, with many benefits for investors. In addition, the program also gives investors the opportunity to own a Portuguese green card and Portuguese citizenship.
