EU Blue Card Program

OVERVIEW

The EU Blue Card is a special residence permit that is considered a legal work permit in all EU member states.
This program was created to promote the economic development of EU countries, allowing highly skilled non-EU citizens to move and work freely.
This can be considered as a pathway to permanent residence and then European citizenship.

Who can apply for an EU Blue Card?

Highly skilled workers: Have a university degree or 5 years of work experience, and have an employment contract with a salary of at least 1.5 times the average salary in the EU country.
Students: After completing their studies in an EU country, they can apply for a job visa and then apply for an EU Blue Card.
Freelancers and entrepreneurs: Highly qualified people who want to start a business, must meet a number of conditions such as the feasibility of the business project and the positive impact on the economy.

COUNTRY INFORMATION

The European Union (EU) is a political and economic union of 27 member states, established to strengthen cooperation, stability and common prosperity across Europe.

The EU originated from the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) and the European Economic Community (EEC) established after World War II, with the goal of promoting peace, security and regional economic development. Over the decades, the EU has evolved into a strong political and economic institution, with common institutions and laws governing areas such as the common market, monetary policy, agriculture, transport, the environment, and foreign cooperation.

Today, the EU plays an important role in promoting peace, democracy, human rights, and sustainable development across Europe. With strong economic, political and cultural potential, the EU is increasingly asserting its position as one of the major centers of influence in the international arena.
