3. Compulsory Secondary Education (Educación Secundaria Obligatoria)

For students aged 12 to 16. This stage helps students consolidate the knowledge they have learned in primary school and guides them towards choosing the right educational path for their future. Students can choose to follow the general education program (Educación Secundaria Obligatoria) or the basic vocational education program (Formación Profesional Básica).

4. Upper Secondary Education (Bachillerato)

For students aged 16 to 18. This stage helps students prepare for university or higher education. Students can choose from one of three majors: Science, Social Sciences and Humanities, or Arts.

5. Higher Education (Educación Superior)

Includes universities and colleges. Students can pursue a bachelor’s degree (Grado) in 4 years, a master’s degree (Máster) in 1-2 years, or a doctoral degree (Doctorado) in 3-5 years.
