Organizing direct flights between Vietnam and Malta to develop tourism and trade

Vietnam and Malta, two geographically separated countries, are gradually getting closer through strategic cooperation initiatives. Within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, held in Ho Chi Minh City. On December 13, a breakthrough proposal was made: establishing direct flights between Vietnam and Malta.

This is not only a great step forward in expanding transport connectivity but also an important bridge to promote tourism, trade and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Malta – A dream destination in the heart of the Mediterranean

With a modest area of 316km², the island nation of Malta welcomes up to 3 million visitors a year thanks to its 300 days of sunshine, UNESCO heritage sites and picturesque turquoise beaches.

Not only is Malta an attractive destination in Europe, but it has also become a “cultural gateway” that attracts special attention from Vietnamese tourists and businesses.

The establishment of direct flights between the two countries not only expands the two-way tourism market but also brings great opportunities for businesses to exploit the potential of trade and investment. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized: “The organization of direct flights from Vietnam to Malta will promote two-way tourism exchanges.”
