Upgrading educational infrastructure: 340 million euros for construction and modernization

Of the 910 million euro investment, 340 million euros are allocated for the construction of new schools and the modernization of existing educational institutions. This ensures that students will learn in modern, safe and well-equipped environments. Schools will be equipped with cutting-edge instructional technologies that enhance the learning experience and support preparing students with the skills they need for the future.

It is expected that from 2024, school construction and renovation works will be completed, serving thousands of domestic and international students. This not only benefits education but also creates many new jobs in the education construction and management industry.

Research and Innovation: €150 million invested in digital and sustainability projects

Malta not only focuses on general education but also focuses on research development and innovation. With more than 150 million euros invested in research and digital transformation projects, the country is moving towards key areas such as health, green energy, and climate change resilience.

A large portion of this budget will be invested in projects related to artificial intelligence (AI), renewable energy development, and climate change research. The Xjenza Malta FUSION programme is a prominent example, with seven different funding programmes aimed at supporting technology innovation initiatives. Over the years, Malta’s budget for research and development programs has increased significantly, making the country a leading research hub in Europe.

Comprehensive Scholarship and International Student Support

To ensure that studying in Malta becomes more accessible, the government has offered a variety of scholarship programs to local and foreign students. These scholarship programs help reduce the financial burden and provide learning opportunities for disadvantaged students.

For instance, the Malta Government Scholarship Program offers grants that cover tuition fees and living expenses, making it possible for international students to study without having to worry about finances. This has attracted thousands of international students from all over the world, including Vietnam, to Malta to study and develop their careers.

Multicultural Environment and English as Official Language

Malta is a multicultural country, with a growing international community. For immigrant families, including Vietnamese families, this environment makes it easy for them to integrate into their new life without having to give up their cultural values. Malta encourages diversity and respect for all cultures, helping to create a safe and welcoming living environment for all families.

Moreover, with English as one of the two official languages, families from Vietnam and other countries can easily adapt to the education system and daily life. Immigrant children can quickly acquire knowledge and integrate into the learning environment, thanks to the wide use of English here.

Strategic Geographic Location and Expansion Opportunities

Malta’s geographical location in the heart of the Mediterranean offers exceptional advantages for traveling and exploring Europe. For immigrant families, this creates many opportunities not only for their children to study, but also for the whole family to explore and develop their careers. With strong connections to European countries and other regions, studying in Malta opens up a wide range of career prospects after graduation.

Global Competition: Making Malta a Hub for Education and Innovation

With major investments and a long-term national strategy, Malta not only aims to improve the quality of education but also expects to become a global competitive hub in the fields of technology, green energy and healthcare. The National Education Strategy 2024-2030 and the Digital Education Strategy 2024-2030 are important steps in improving the capacity of the education system, while meeting the demand for digital skills in the modern world.

Malta has been committed to ensuring that its education not only caters to the needs of the present, but is also best prepared for the future. With these national strategies, students in Malta will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to compete in the global market, which in turn will bring great benefits to the national economy and society.

A bright future for immigrant families

With strong investment in education, research, and innovation, Malta is not only an ideal place for domestic students, but also an attractive destination for immigrant families from Vietnam and other countries. Malta’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, multicultural community, comprehensive support system, and progressive education strategy create an ideal environment for the well-rounded development of children.

This investment ensures a bright future, with Malta becoming a hub of knowledge, innovation, and opportunity for everyone.
